Through the Bible with Poetry: Nahum
Jon’s thoughts: Nahum 1, Romans 10, Luke 7
How precious is the response of the woman at the Pharisee’s house, who did for Jesus what the Pharisee did not or would not do. Nahum reminds us to, “Behold, upon the mountains, the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace!” The woman, standing behind Jesus weeping, “wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head and kissed his feet and anointed them with oil.” How precious indeed.

How Precious Indeed
“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
Weep.
In the midst of tribulation comes good news.
Wet his feet with tears.
For those who call upon the name of the Lord there will be salvation.
Kiss them.
“Behold, upon the mountains, the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace!”
Anoint them with oil.
“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
Weep, wet their feet with tears, kiss them and anoint them with oil.
