This first week of Advent our study centers around the incarnation of Jesus — specifically, Jesus as a baby. What does the helpless infant humanity of Jesus imply about our humanity? What does God being weak and needy (and lacking knowledge) say to us in all our limitations? What if our limits were not something we seek to transcend but actually gateways to God? Can our neediness actually be a sacrament that reveals God? What if true spirituality begins in the acceptance of our own limitations (which then begins to produce a deep compassion for the weaknesses of others)? Join us as we explore Embracing our Neediness.
